The DO-IT Scholars program at the University of Washington supports Washington State high school students with disabilities in preparing for college and careers. Through multi-year Summer Study sessions on campus, mentorship, and year-round engagement, students build self-advocacy skills, explore academic and career interests, and connect with peers and professionals. This free program empowers self-advocates to transition confidently into higher education and the workforce.

Description

DO-IT (Disabilities, Opportunities, Internetworking, and Technology) Scholars is a comprehensive college and career readiness program for high school sophomores and juniors with disabilities. Participants attend immersive summer sessions at the University of Washington, receive assistive technology, and engage in mentoring and collaborative projects throughout the school year. The program emphasizes independence, leadership, and access to challenging fields of study, helping self-advocates build the skills and networks they need to succeed beyond high school.
