Overview
The Center for Parent Information and Resources (CPIR) serves as a national hub of family-friendly, research-based materials designed to support Parent Centers and the families they serve. Funded by the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP), CPIR offers accessible information on key topics such as special education, disability rights, and transition planning. It helps families navigate the journey from school to adulthood with confidence and clarity
Description
CPIR’s Transition to Adulthood Hub provides curated resources to guide families through every stage of the transition process—including high school planning, graduation, postsecondary education, employment, independent living, and self-advocacy. Materials are organized into categories like health and wellness, laws and rights, youth development, and cultural competency. The site also features newsletters, training opportunities, and tools developed in collaboration with the RAISE Center and RSA-PTIs, making it a comprehensive support system for families preparing their children for adult life
